Hi, it’s Justine Parsons, founder of Your Virtual Assistant here.

Being an entrepreneur is fantastic, you call the shots and you’ve grown your business from nothing to what it is today.  Then you reach a point where it can be overwhelming, you know what you want to achieve but doing it is another thing … there are only so many hours in the day!

That’s where we come in.  Back in 1998 I saw a need for entrepreneurs to get affordable, time-on-task support right across their business.

Like you I’ve built my business from an idea, made a lot of mistakes, and learned from each and every one of them.  I’m determined to use that experience and the team I’ve grown to help you build a successful and profitable business, without the overwhelm. It’s this model of business support that’s helped me make this business a success and what’s worked for me and our clients will transfer to your business, that’s a promise!

    So, besides being one of New Zealand’s founding virtual assistant’s … who’s Justine?

    Who is your virtual assistant? A nurturer ... I’ve been with my husband for 27 years and a Mum for 19 and those relationships are my first priority, my greatest achievements.  The same commitment to nurturing relationships and the people I’m connected with applies to my clients, my team and people I do business with.

    Who is your virtual assistant? A laugh ... Laughter truly is the best medicine and whether at home, with friends or in business … humour is what keeps me healthy, happy and ready for the next challenge. A smile costs nothing, making someone else smile is priceless. If I have criteria for those I work with, humour and happy is right at the top of the list!

    Who is your virtual assistant? A creator ... In the weekends there’s nothing I like to do more than hide out in the garage and turn a piece of driftwood into beach art, or transform part of the garden into a masterpiece. I bring that same creativity into my business, left brain/right brain … keeping both active is part of our wellbeing.

    Who is your virtual assistant? A finisher ... I finish most days with a nice cold glass of wine (hows that for finishing!). But there’s no greater feeling for me than ticking off something in my to-do list, pen and paper still holds magic. I work best taking one thing at a time, lots of little tasks is the road to achieving bigger goals … at home and at work.

    Who is your virtual assistant? A planner ... I do my best planning in the spa pool late at night under the stars (or trying to get to sleep – stop brain!), whether it’s planning a holiday, coming up with a solution for a problem at work or strategising for a client. The most routine tasks can come to life if you’re thinking about ways to improve them.

    Now you know a bit more about me! I love what I do, I’m doing this because I want to make a difference for other entrepreneurs. I’ve been through the highs and lows as I’ve built this business (with the help of an amazing team), while celebrating wins and learning from lows alongside our clients. That’s why we turn up for work each day … to make a difference for people just like you.
