Photos in Albums – Are Yours?
August 20, 2010
I recently (and belately) cleaned out my ‘junk cupboard’. You know the one, everything that has no home of its own or is ‘pending’ goes into this one cupboard.
Amongst the rubbish (and most of it did go into rubbish bags) was shopping bags full of photos which never quite got put into the albums.
In the age of digital, all my photos are downloaded straight to my pc and backed up online. If we should ever be unfortunate to have a fire or disaster in the house, at least my photos are safe. But prior to digital, well back to the shopping bags full of photos! Sorted …
They are now scanned onto my computer (and uploaded to my online backup) into appropriate folders, accessible and easy to find (my pc maintenance is much more advanced than my cupboard systems). I have made CD’s for my daughter, relatives and friends full of long forgotten images relative to them and am looking forward to the phone calls as they receive their ‘presents’.
So, if you have bags of photos and don’t have the time or inclination to sit next to your scanner – drop me a line. I am happy to quote per photo so you get no nasty surprises at the end of the project.
