Time Off At Hunua Falls
April 18, 2010
Being the last day of another school holiday and going a little stir crazy at home, my daughter and I set off for some fresh air at the Hunua Falls.
Located in the Hunua Ranges which comprise of over 14,000 hectares of native bush and contain 4 major dams which supply most of Auckland City’s water there are plenty of activities to occupy (including camping, mountain biking, fishing, swimming and tramping).
With a fantastic and not too energetic bush walk (walks range from 5 minutes to over 4 hours) we made it to the lower look out, meeting plenty of friendly tourists along the path.
Beautiful scenery and a great way to spend an afternoon!
